After an exhausting day of distributing the latest edition of SNAP, Robin & I decided to meet up at Entourage Restaurant for a late lunch / early dinner. Upon entering the establishment we were pleasantly greeted by our server, Rudi Lange.
Soon after being shown to our table, a plate of homemade Babaganush and bread were placed before us. What a wonderful way to start a meal! (I found it so delectable that I ordered an extra portion to take home with me.) While enjoying this delicious treat we chatted with some fellow diners at another table and learned that they were regular customers. They raved about how delicious the food was and said that they had also enjoyed lunch there earlier that day. Valerie told us that “Entourage makes the best pizza this side of Italy!”
The menu includes lots of mouth watering appetizers including salads, garlic bread, bruschetta and their delicious signature homemade Babaganush. There is a delicious array of Mediterranean Cuisine, Veal, Chicken, Beef & Pork BBQ’d on natural charcoal “for a taste blessed by an angel”. Also featured are their fresh Pastas & sauces as well as their signature Gourmet Pizzas, or if you prefer you can choose your own toppings to create your own masterpiece. All pizzas are created with a delicious thin crust and baked in a traditional stone pizza oven. Jumbo Panzerotto and chicken wings round out this mouth watering menu.
Our attentive server Rudi kindly explained all of the intricacies of the menu, including the fact that all of the meats are marinated Persian style for 2-3 days for the ultimate tenderness and taste. It all sounded so delicious, Robin chose the Soltani Kabob, a combination of Barg (Juicy strips of BBQ Veal) and Koobideh Kabob (Juicy strips of seasoned BBQ ground beef). I decided to go with the Vaziri Kabob, a combination of marinated chicken & Koobideh Kabob. Both meals were served with basmati “zaffron” rice & barbeque tomato. We both ordered a Veggie Shish Kabob Skewer to accompany our meals. Neither the well written menu nor Rudi’s articulate descriptions of the food could have prepared us for the tender, juicy, flavourful food that was placed before us. We were both enjoying our meals immensely when we thought we’d better inquire about the desert menu so that we could save the appropriate amount of our main courses for the following day’s lunch. Be sure to show up hungry because Entourage’s portions are generous.
The desert portion of the menu is currently in transition... Rudi listed many mouth watering choices, including several different cheesecakes. As usual, once I heard the word cheesecake my ears stopped listening. We decided it would be best to share a desert so that we could continue to enjoy our main courses without making ourselves too uncomfortable. We settled on the triple chocolate cheesecake, accompanied by fresh brewed coffee... the perfect way to finish the meal.
This was a very satisfying dining experience. The food was extraordinary, the service flawless and we would like to thank Owners Masoud Ebrahimi and Afshin Ahmadi for their warm welcome. We will definitely be back!
We highly recommend that you search out this hidden gem, located almost directly across from the Post Office in Keswick. Masoud and Afshin have been in business at this location for about a year.
