SPLASH! FLOATING WATER FESTIVAL
SPLASH! The Floating Water Festival is the first step in the development of an iconic Ontario Water Centre for Innovation, Research and Learning in Georgina. Each year the Festival will celebrate water through creativity and by challenging everyone to find new ways to create, share, think and dream about water. Starting in the Town of Georgina and using an inclusive approach, within three years the festival will spread to more locations so as to engage everyone in the Lake Simcoe Watershed in ideas and programming. The 2011 Georgina festival included an evening invitational event to celebrate water innovation and promote water conservation. The daytime festivities included water games for kids and an opportunity to learn about Lake Simcoe's history, conservation and preservation concepts.
